Tibet, Everest and More...

Here are some pictures taken on my trip in Tibet from 5/27-6/4. The route is on this google map:

We started from Lhasa, rent an SUV and local driver, heading south west to Everest first, then north to a lake and back to Lhasa, and finally drive to the east and fly out of Tibet from there.

2009 Trip to China

Planning the trip to China again. This time, plan to take a tour to Tibet.

Saw a Cartoon from San Jose Mercury News on 1/12/2009. Brought up a quite interesting topic.

Earlier this year, in a seminar by professor Xia HUA from Beijing University, he mentioned a joke regarding to four important years related to China which are also ended with a '9':

• 1949 only Socialism can save China
• 1979 only Capitalism can save China
• 1989 only China can save socialism
• 2009 only China can save capitalism

Are they true? Time will tell.
